Overview
Established in 1994, DeLawder Communications, Inc. (DC) is a small
telecommunications consulting firm which specializes in the broadcast
services (AM, FM and TV) and licensed broadband services (i.e. MDS and
ITFS). DC also provides consulting services in private radio,
mobile, paging and other one-way and two-way wireless telecommunication
services.
The
consulting services provided by DC include the technical design and FCC
application work necessary in order to propose new station facilities, or
to modify existing station facilities in the various wireless services.
Since 1994, DC has engineered facilities and prepared FCC applications for
over 100 separate clients, involving well over 1000 applications.

The

-DC was
established in January 1994
-From 1994
until 1999, DC acted as the primary engineering consultant on FCC matters
for two of the top five companies developing wireless cable (MDS, MMDS and
ITFS) systems in the United States. (In 1999 both companies were
bought by Sprint.)
-In 1995
and 1996, DC prepared over 300 FCC applications in the MDS, MMDS and ITFS
during thre intensive filing periods.
-In 1999
and 2000, DC helped Sprint develop a design methodology for two-way
broadband services in the licensed 2.1 and 2.6 GHz services.
-In 2000,
DC prepared applications for the initial two-way MDS, MMDS and ITFS filing
window in over 20 US markets.
-Since
1994, DC has prepared over 200 applications in the broadcast services (AM,
FM, TV and LPTV).

DeLawder, President
Darryl K.
DeLawder has been consulting in FCC matters since 1983 - first as a staff
and senior engineer with Moffet, Larson and Johnson, Inc. (MLJ), then as
Director of Engineering for Blooston, Mordkofsky, Jackson and Dickens (BMJD),
and finally as president of DeLawder Communications, Inc. (DC).
With MLJ
(1982-1990) Mr. DeLawder helped prepare many cellular telephone and
broadcast applications (specializing at the time in AM and FM). At
both BMJD (1990-1994) and DC (1994-present), he has continued his interest
in broadcast engineering services, while becoming an expert on FCC
engineering matters regarding the MDS, MMDS and ITFS.
Mr.
DeLawder has B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University
(1982).
